Ginger is a graduate of Marian University. After graduation from college with a degree in communication, she worked as an assistant trainer for 2 years and also became a certified PATH instructor. She then opened De Equus Stable in the fall of 2002.
Training all disciplines from Western to Saddleseat Equitation, Ginger also enjoys teaching at Free Spirit Riders, a therapeutic riding program.
“I love to build relationships between horse and rider and create teams. Helping riders understand the behaviors of their horse is what we strive for at De Equus.”
Team De Equus specializes in the American Saddlebred horse and has trained horse and rider teams to win regional, state, and national championships.
Candy Schinktgen: Trainer / Manager
Candy is hardworking, patient, and passionate about horses, instilling those same qualities in her riding students.
“I always think of the horse first. I try to teach my students to think that way also. If a rider can understand this, then they are a true horseperson.”
Candy is a certified PATH instructor, and the director of Team De Equus’s therapeutic riding program. She hopes to teach you in a riding lesson.
Together the Schinktgen sisters hope to give you safe, fun, and educational experience around our horses at De Equus Stable. |
